About PlainJob
PlainJob is job software that handles quotes, scheduling and invoices for handymen and 1–3 person trade crews, at one flat price of $39 a month.
What PlainJob does
Quotes customers approve online
Build a quote from saved line items with sales tax added, then text or email the link from your own phone. Your customer approves by typing their name, and you see who approved it and when.
Scheduling
Give each job a day, start time and length, and add it to Google or Apple Calendar in one tap.
Invoices and getting paid
An approved quote becomes the invoice with a due date. Home flags anything overdue. Card and bank payments through Stripe arrive at launch.
Clients and your data
Every client's jobs and what they've paid in one place, with a spreadsheet export of everything any time.
What makes PlainJob different
One price for the whole crew
$39 a month covers up to 3 people. On Jobber's pricing page, the lowest plan for a team of 2–5 is $199 a month billed monthly (checked October 13, 2026).
No markup on payments
When card payments launch, you pay Stripe's standard fee and PlainJob adds nothing.
A price that stays put
Your monthly price won't go up for as long as you stay subscribed. No contract, no setup fee.
Built for small crews only
No dispatch boards or franchise tools. Fewer screens, so you can send a quote from the driveway.
Who uses PlainJob
- Solo handymen who do the work and the paperwork
- Two- and three-person crews where everyone needs the schedule
- Next: pressure washing and window cleaning businesses
Who's behind PlainJob
PlainJob is run by Nicholas Lipari, a sole proprietor in New York. It exists because the best-known job apps get expensive for small crews once they add their first helper.
How PlainJob works
